This modernist brooch is so evocative of a Jakob Bengel or John Lauritzen design, it isn't signed but the style is very evocative, with the balls, the swirling bow and thermoplastic wings.
  • A timeless classic of the machine age, art deco period and as wonderful to wear now as it was then. A great collector's piece of Deco modernist jewellery.
  • A bow shaped design made with 3 chrome bars shaped into a wave form and finished with chrome balls on the ends, sitting on a diagonal are shaped black early plastic wings, with a central larger chrome ball.  It looks a little like a propeller.
  • Modernist chrome and black early plastic bow brooch. Highly likely made by Jakob Bengel in the early 1930’s.
  • The chrome band is screwed in place on the underside to the plastic.
  • Safety pin design pin, which is a fixing used in the earlier years.

Measures: (to FOLLOW) approx 2"

Condition - There is  slight pitting and natural aging patina but still solid and it is still very wearable.
