Last year we were lucky enough to be nominated for the 2017 Muddy Stillettos Somerset Awards this year and made it to the last five of the finals, winning Silver Place.

Thanks to all who voted for us, it was a real honour, especially as the new shop has only been in this location since January 1st 2017.

New Term, New Shop Layout in the Women's Vintage Section

Well September is always a new start of some kind or other, so in a quiet moment I had a mad burst of energy and decided to completely move around the furniture and displays in the wome's section of the shop.  It looks much more spacious now and weirdly have a bit more room to move around. Plus there's a nice little area for just the mannequins and somewhere to keep the bags.  I had intended that wire shelving rack for the vintage fabric which seems to permanently reside at home, for lack of shop space. Huge congrats to Dawn Trigwell (2nd from the right) for only going and winning Miss Vintage at the Twinwood Festival this year. You have to agree she well deserved it for look amazing and woohoo she's wearing the fabalicious Top Notch Vintage 1930s gown and bolero as pictured on our homepage, which she purchased earlier on this year.  I am so pleased the dress made such a wonderful appearance and went to such a beauty. A piece of vintage clothing history • Vietnam War Souvenir Tour Jacket USS Wabash

My favourite vintage supplier, who always brings me the best items, brought this amazing military souvenir bomber jacket into the shop a few weeks ago, complete with USS Wabash ship cloth badge on the front. It is now listed to the store. These highly collectible sukajan jackets originated from a US serviceman after WWII getting his jacket embroidered as a souvenir and it became the done thing to do by many others as a souvenir of their tour of duty. The idea to get embroidered on the back symbols that represented something poignant to each serviceman or his regiment was duplicated...
