1960s Vintage Sheer Silk Chiffon Black Evening Skirt
Well unfortunately there is no label so I cannot see who designed this amazing sheer silk chiffon evening skirt, but I have a feeling it might be a Scherrer, mainly down to the fact the lady I got it from had a few of his designs and seemed to wear them well back in the day.
The fabric on this is is super fine and sheer, almost like an expensive pair of silk stockings, with pin tucked bands at the hem giving it a 1910s feeling to it. It has a metal zipper at the back.
- No label.
- Pin tucks around the bottom.
- Rear metal zipper.
- Sheer black silk chiffon gerorgette
- Superb quality skirt
- 26" waist
- 38" length
Fabulous. I mean - just look at its gorgeousness. It's a glamgoth skirt of dreams.
Vintage sizing is very different to modern day sizes, they usually are at least 2 sizes smaller depending on the era of manufacture. So to ensure a good fit please go by the measurements provided. I measure the garment laid flat edge to absolute edge then double, which give the maximum, you will need to measure your own clothes to compare sizing
All items will be sold 'As Is'. Most items are either; dry cleaned, steam cleaned, hand washed or put through the washer unless they arrive in good order or are too old and fragile or otherwise noted.
If they're likely to have attracted a moth then they go straight in the freezer for a few days to kill eggs, this is especially so with fur.
