Vlog 12 - Wolf Hall Costumes at Bishop's Palace & Soda Farl Fails
Step back in time with me for a day of history, drama, and another baking fail!.
I head to The Bishop’s Palace in Wells to see the incredible Wolf Hall costumes up close — sumptuous Tudor gowns that ooze power and glamour on the screen. Back home, things are far less regal: I attempt Irish soda bread farls, but let’s just say my ancestors would be appalled. Using wholemeal flour turned them into little rock cakes — fit for a slingshot, not the supper table.
Meanwhile, over on the allotment, it’s not all doom and gloom. The potatoes and veg are thriving, helped along by a very special delivery: alpaca poo! Yes, really. A week of history, heritage, horticulture, and a few culinary catastrophes.
