Vintage Silver Breton Passe Brooch Kelt French Pin Signed & Hallmarked
Cute little round commemorative brooch Celebration of 15th Century French Fleet. My jeweller magnet isn’t attracted to it but there are no silver stamps, I suspect it is most likely silver plated.
- Signed on the back; Partout ou le soleil passe le Breton Passe. R.Y. Creston. Kelt.
- the makers stamp is a black triangle with initials SB.
- Round silver commemorative brooch with a galleon sail ship on the front and the words, Mar Tremen An Heol. E Tremen Ar Breizad.
- 1 1/2” wide
- Condition is very good with patina wear proportionate to the brooch's age, the only issue to note is that the hook latch for the clasp is rather short and won’t stay closed.
Vintage sizing is very different to modern day sizes, they’re usually smaller depending on the era of manufacture. So to ensure a good fit please go by the measurements provided. I measure the garment laid flat edge to absolute edge then double, which give the maximum, you will need to measure your own clothes to compare sizing.
