Cute little round mourning brooch, showing sterling silver lion stamp on the side and makers mark initialed what looks like F.B. Usually these little silver brooches have a hollow on the reverse where either hair or a photo of the lost loved one is placed. This brooch may have had a frame to keep the keepsake in but it is missing, if there ever was one I cannot say for sure.

  • Signed silver With Lion, a tri T shape of numbers 1.3. and 3 below (?) and initial “B”, makers initials F.B.
  • Round brooch with a dome setting, scalloped around the edge and decorative inbetween
  • 1 1/4” wide
  • Condition is very good with patina wear proportionate to the brooch's age, the only issue to note is that the hook latch for the clasp is rather small and inefficient.
